There once was a cat I knew
I was told stories upon stories about him
He was an eccentric cat with quite a mouth on him
He spoke often a lot, or so I was told
One day I finally got the chance to meet him
He was what they said and more
At the time, he was injured, you know
But he was still what they had said
Then we heard he hadn't come home
We figured he was just out on the town
He'd come back when he was ready
Days passed and molded into weeks
He still hadn't returned
But we continued about as we had been
The stories no longer came in
But the legend and lores didn't stop
In fact, he had become quite a successful cat
He met famous people
He created video games
But most importantly,
He never left our hearts
Now I can't say that he passed away
Nor can I say that he is still around
Meeting him was a chance,
and I hope to see him again in this life or the next
